There are many reasons people seek out the support of a counsellor. For some, issues such as anxiety, stress, relationships, depression or grief can be the trigger to get help. Sometimes, it can be a vague sense of dissatisfaction: that life doesn’t feel right anymore. Or, it could be a wish to live a more authentic, fun and joyful existence.
Whatever brings you here, I believe that counselling can help take you from where you are now to where you want to be.
As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I am empathic, and, at times, challenging. Although it isn’t always ‘comfortable’, it is in these moments of discomfort where we can experience the most growth.
The beauty of counselling is that these challenges happen in a safe space, meaning we can explore your feelings and responses to what arises away from the demands of everyday life.

Taking that first step
I understand that taking the first step isn’t always easy. This is why I offer a free telephone consultation in the first instance; to make that first step a little easier. During the call, we can explore the reasons you have decided to seek out counselling, and whether I am the right person to support you. At the end of the call, there is no pressure or obligation to book another session, the choice is entirely yours, and I will respect your decision either way.
